Traumatic stress and complex trauma is the quintessential mind, brain-body disease. In this webinar, Dr. Leslie Korn will introduce clinicians to the application of integrative medicine for the treatment of PTSD, complex trauma, mild traumatic brain injury, and their sequelae.
This webinar will be an introduction to the topics provided in her 30 hour CE certification program, Integrative Medicine and Nutrition for PTSD and Complex Trauma. The course provides a roadmap for integrating treatment methods for clinicians working in either mental or physical health disciplines or those seeking to integrate both. Clinicians will learn how integrative and nutritional approaches can be used to improve the capacity for self-regulation, attachment, and decrease dissociation.
This webinar and course are intended for mental health and physical health professionals, including counselors, psychologists, case managers, psychotherapists, social workers, marriage & family therapists, addiction counselors, school clinicians, therapists, psychiatrists, occupational therapists, occupational therapists’ assistants, nurses, physical therapists, nurses, nurse practitioners, massage therapists, nutritionists and registered dietitians, program administrators and other professionals.
This is an introductory program for all mental health professionals.

About the Presenter:
Dr. Leslie Korn is a renowned expert in integrative medicine for the treatment of trauma and its physical sequelae including chronic digestive illness, insomnia, pain, substance abuse, diabetes, cognitive decline, and “unexplained illnesses”. She has provided over 65,000 hours of clinical care integrating psychotherapy and somatic therapies with nutritional, culinary, and herbal medicine. She completed her training at Harvard Medical School and The Harvard School of Public Health. She is licensed and board-certified in 4 clinical disciplines. She has been a faculty instructor at Harvard in the department of psychiatry and faculty at two Naturopathic medical schools. She lived for 25 years in the jungle of Mexico, where she worked alongside indigenous healers and directed a pro bono health center. Her clinical practice focuses on helping clients who are ill by restoring their health and reducing or eliminating medications. Her mentoring practice focuses on helping clinicians create a successful, integrative medicine, trauma-informed career. Her ethic of compassion and care is informed by feminist values of social justice and her love for dogs.
