EMDR & Ethics
Description:
The key to being an ethical therapist is being willing to notice and apply ethics as a routine part of practice. This includes competently resolving dilemmas that come up. This course will engage the therapist in an ethical discussion to explore unique EMDR practice questions related to preparedness, hesitancy to process and emotional content.

Identify 2 important issues related to use of EMDR and Informed Consent
Identify 1 issue related to responsibility and Integrity in practice
Identify 1 Ethical Consideration in collaborative practice
Identify 1 Ethical Consideration in scope of practice and use of EMDR

About the Presenter:
Kenya Rocha M.S., LMHC, NCC, ACS is an EMDR Certified Therapist, Approved Consultant, and EMDR Consulting Basic Trainer with expertise in couples and family therapy. Kenya is Director of Mosaic Family Counseling Inc., a well-known family and EMDR/trauma agency in the Des Moines area. Her systemic expertise and commitment to treating trauma with EMDR has allowed healing to occur for many individuals, couples, and families.
