Your Body's Healing Wisdom: Simple Exercises from Qigong and Yoga that Heal The Nervous System
Description:
This training will empower your clients with tools from Qigong and Yoga that work to heal the nervous system. It is a transformative opportunity open to all practitioners who work with clients struggling with PTSD, addiction, anxiety, fear, depression, and triggers that cause significant distress.
Are you ready to learn new and effective exercises that will help your clients calm and heal their nervous system? Are you interested in integrating more somatic approaches into your work that aid in trauma healing from the inside out?
Qigong, renowned for its effectiveness, is one of the most powerful ways to calm the nervous system and stimulate the parasympathetic response. Yoga, with its array of potent tools, also induces deep relaxation in the body.
Dr. Lin explains, "When you regularly practice exercises from Qigong and Yoga, you increase heart rate variability and strengthen your vagus nerve function. Consequently, the next time your sympathetic nervous system responds to a trigger, you can recover faster."
During this training, you will learn simple yet impactful ways to incorporate these two indigenous mind/body practices into your therapeutic work, enabling your clients to find relief from the distress and suffering they have experienced. No prior experience in either practice is required, and you don't need a yoga mat in your office. Everything is straightforward, easy to lead, easy to follow, and your clients will absolutely love and continue to benefit from these tools in their daily lives.
The efficacy of this training is backed by research and validated as adjunct therapy for trauma and the nervous system.
Throughout the training, you will gain proficiency in:
1. Breathing Exercises from Qigong and Yoga that calm and ground your clients when they are activated.
2. Self-Massage and Acupressure points specifically for emotional healing.
3. Simple Meditation Techniques to deepen self-compassion and foster healthy self-talk in your clients.
4. Simple and Specific Movements that can be done seated, standing, live, or virtually, targeting: Grief, PTSD, Anger, Depression, Worry, Fear, Insomnia
By the end of this immersive day-long training, you will leave equipped with two powerful mind/body practices to incorporate into your therapeutic approach. Additionally, you will have essential self-care tools that you can use both between sessions and in your personal life to prevent compassion fatigue and burnout.
Both mind/body practices provide us with the light and energy necessary to heal ourselves and others. Genuine healing occurs when we engage the body, mind, and soul in harmony.
